About Native Sons and Daughters

Come share a lifetime of memories with your children as you participate in fun, rewarding activities! This nationally acclaimed program is unique-- becuase unlike most youth programs, parents participate WITH their children in every activity! The Native Sons and Daughters program focuses on the one-on-one parent/child relationship. All activities are tailored to children in grades K through 6 and are centered around a Native American theme. The theme serves as a common level of interest between parent and child. The spiritual belief systems embraced by these cultures are incorporated into the theme to help reinforce the parent and child's own traditional family values. First, I’d like to thank Karl “Blue Lake” Satorius, last year’s Longhouse Chief and the current Sachem for his service. I’d also like to recognize Tim “Big Bear” Brensahan for his help in starting an Alumni Program last year. And one last “BIG THANK YOU” to Mark “Crazy Eagle” Denison for organizing the Duct Tape Festival clean up crews and leading the construction of our Award Winning “BEST USE OF DUCT TAPE” float. If you didn’t see it in the parade, it was a sight to behold. The peace sign above the tee pee rotated, while smoke billowed out the top. We had our members following behind carrying signs like: “Heck No, We Won’t Glue”, “Make Tape, Not War”, and “All You Need Is Tape”.
